One of Iceland´s best kept secrets is the enhancement of this picturesque small river approx. 90-minutes' drive south from the Breiddalsa. There has been a very successful smolt releasing programme there for the past years. Last season this two-rod river produced 135 salmon. The number of big salmon from the Nesjum is quite surprising. Fish over 20lb have been caught several times, plus good number of sea-trout.

The Lodge

 Accommodation is at a self-catering house close to the river. The town of Höfn is only a few minutes' drive for shops and restaurants.
