In cooperation with Angling Club Strengir we are proud to offer

The RIVER LAXA I Adaldal FOR 2004
*****

Laxa in Adaldal

New! we now offer in cooperation with Angling Service Strengir the Árnes and Nes beats on the middle part of Laxá in Adaldal, the famous big-salmon river in north Iceland. Several fish in the 20 lb class are caugth there every year. This part of the river is fished by eight rods and offers some of the best fly-water found anywhere in Iceland.

We have secured the opening weeks, 1 to 18 July, and again from late August to when the season closes in midd September. In July the fishing is mainly for fresh-run 2SW fish, and the late summer period is often when the old males over 20 lb get aggressive and start to take again. This is often when the biggest fish of the season are caught.

Fishing is fly-only and a catch-and-release policy is in place. The rise of a 20 lb salmon to a size 8 fly fished on a floating line is a heart-stopping experience, and what fishing Laxa is all about.

Full board is provided in excellent lodge were every bedroom has private bathroom. All the usual facilities for storing and drying gear, hot pot and wonderful dining and sitting room for the guests. There is one guide for every two-rod beat.
